Mobile Meals Turns 40

Mobile Meals will be celebrating its 40th year of service in 2010. Celebration will begin very appropriately with a kick-off luncheon by members of the Pima County Medical Society Alliance. This event continues the long partnership between Mobile Meals and the Alliance, formerly the Pima County Medical Society. Several Alliance members were instrumental in the formation of Mobile Meals in 1969 and 1970.

Through the years we've grown to serve over 205 clients every day and many changes have been made to improve the operations. What started as meals prepared in a church basement has become a more "sophisticated" organization where meals are prepared by eight different hospitals or healthcare facilities.
